Who We Are
We are a group of professionals who have dedicated our careers to helping others. We have worked all arenas of the treatment universe and have decided to give back directly. We have elected to have our own treatment center because we know first hand that people need help and they need other people in their lives to give them hope. That regardless of the odds or your own personal circumstances it will all work out. We know the power of the individual, group and family. We know how treatment is supposed to work and are willing to show others the benefit of recovery.
Our Dedicated Staff
Ben Brafman, LMHC, CAP — Clinical Director President / CEO
Ben is the President and CEO of Destination Hope. He a leading authority in Men’s issues and has focused his treatment center to help not only the men that participate in the program but the families as well. Ben is the founder of 2 non for profit organizations; The Evan Glugeth substance abuse and relapse prevention fund and Rx Angels. Rx Angels is dedicated to helping families that cannot afford medication and treatment. Ben has been awarded the spirit of the community award given to those who excel in helping others in the local community. Ben has helped families all over the country from South Florida to Atlanta, Georgia to Santa Barbara, California. He is a published author in the area of dual diagnosis and chemical dependency. Ben is also an educator, supervising and training others to be certified professionals in the field of addiction.

Alton Smith — Director of Business Development
Alton hold graduate degrees in Clinical Psychology and Counseling Psychology and has over 30 years experience in Substance Abuse and Mental Health in the areas of: Assessment, Administration, Intake, Clinical, Marketing and Business Development. Alton has worked in Inpatient Acute Care, Outpatient, Residential settings, Forensic Settings. Alton has also worked with both private and public agencies providing education and treatment to professionals in the field of Substance Abuse and Mental Health.
Suzanne Brafman, LCSW — Vice President / CFO
Arthur Smith, CAP — Therapist
Arthur has been in the field of addiction for over 10 years. He has worked as a therapist dedicated to helping others out of the grips of addiction and into recovery. Arthur also has close ties to the South Florida community working with local charities with similar problems and concerns. In addition, Arthur is a reviewer for the Florida Certification board. He has helped many professionals in the addiction field realize their dreams.
